Terms of Service

1. Purpose
These Terms of Service govern access to and use of the Hazelt platform, available at hazelt.app. Hazelt is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform for managing Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) reports.
2. Acceptance
By creating an account or using the service, the user unconditionally accepts these Terms of Service. If you do not accept these terms, you must not use the service.
3. Description of the Service
Hazelt provides the following features:
- Logging and tracking of HSE reports with photos
- Automated report analysis powered by artificial intelligence
- Document management (HSE knowledge base)
- AI-powered conversational assistant based on the organization's documents
- Dashboard and analytics
- Team and organization management
Available features depend on the subscribed plan (Free, Starter, Pro, Business, or Enterprise).
4. Registration and Account
Registration is performed through a third-party identity provider (Google or Microsoft). The user warrants the accuracy of the information provided. Each account is personal and the user is responsible for maintaining its confidentiality.
5. Pricing and Payment
Current pricing is displayed on the website's pricing page. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Stripe and renew automatically at each cycle unless cancelled in advance from the customer portal. Hazelt reserves the right to modify its pricing with 30 days' prior notice.
Add-on packs: one-time packs can be purchased to top up quotas. “AI analyses” and “chat messages” packs are consumable and expire at the end of the current billing cycle; “documents” and “extra users” packs are permanent as long as the subscription remains active.
Refunds: payments (subscriptions and packs) are non-refundable and no proration is applied in case of downgrade, early termination, or reduced usage within a billing period. Access to the service remains open until the end of the paid period. Any goodwill refunds are at Hazelt's sole discretion and do not create any entitlement. Mandatory consumer protections (notably the EU statutory right of withdrawal for individual users) remain reserved; that right cannot be exercised once service performance has begun with the customer's express consent.
Payment failure: if a charge fails, Stripe automatically retries payment for several days. After a 7-day grace period without payment, access to paid features (report creation, AI analyses, assistant, documents, sites, members) is suspended until the payment method is updated. Data remains readable and exportable during the suspension.
6. Acceptable Use
The user agrees to:
- Use the service for its intended purpose (HSE management)
- Not attempt to compromise the security or availability of the service
- Not use the service for any unlawful purpose
- Not transmit malicious or inappropriate content
- Comply with the quotas associated with their subscription plan
7. Artificial Intelligence
Hazelt incorporates artificial intelligence features (report analysis, conversational assistant). Results generated by AI are provided for informational purposes only and are not a substitute for human expertise. The user remains solely responsible for any decisions made based on these recommendations.
8. Data Ownership
The user retains ownership of all data entered into the service (reports, documents, comments). Hazelt claims no ownership rights over such data. Upon termination, the user may request an export of their data.
9. Availability
Hazelt endeavors to ensure continuous availability of the service. However, the service may be interrupted for maintenance, updates, or in the event of force majeure. Hazelt does not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
10. Limitation of Liability
The service is provided “as is.” Hazelt shall not be held liable for any indirect damages arising from the use of the service, including data loss, loss of revenue, or business interruption. Hazelt's liability is limited to the total amount paid by the user during the preceding 12 months.
11. Termination
The user may terminate their account at any time. Hazelt reserves the right to suspend or terminate an account in the event of a breach of these Terms of Service. Upon termination, the user's data will be deleted within 30 days, unless retention is required by law.
12. Amendments to the Terms
Hazelt reserves the right to amend these Terms of Service. Users will be notified of any material changes. Continued use of the service after such amendments constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by French law. Any dispute relating to the interpretation or performance of these terms shall be submitted to the competent courts of Lyon, France.
